Black Best Friend
Colette Gregory / Rhymes with Purple
A hilarious dissection of Black media tropes with satirical sketches, comedic songs, and recognisable characters. “The Oprah of comedy”, Colette Gregory deconstructs sexuality, religion, and everything from Black Conservatives to Love is Blind contestants.
The result is an unforgettable evening of belly laughs, knowing head nods, and songs you’ll be singing in the shower. Awarded “Favourite Sketch or Variety Performance by a Group or Individual” at the 2024 Pack Hollywood Festival, Black Best Friend will leave you thinking about what it is to be a “Token Black Face” in a predominantly white space.
